The challenge
The Appalachian Arts Alliance and the ArtStation in Hazard, Kentucky, needed sustained programmatic and fund development support as one of the drivers of downtown Hazard's economic revitalization. Programming reached nearly 8,000 people in 2021 with a goal to reach 10,000 in 2022.
What we did
- 01Built sustained fundraising infrastructure for a rapidly growing community arts organization
- 02Supported programming including Kindermusik, voice and guitar lessons, and music and theatre performances
- 03Helped position the newly renovated space as both arts hub and community gathering space
- 04Developed strategy for the commercial kitchen, performance space, and outdoor courtyard programming
What is true now
The ArtStation now serves as both an arts hub and a community gathering space for Hazard and Perry County, anchoring downtown's cultural revitalization.
